Beware the Ides of March

Wow, this week has been insane for us.

Not only did we pack up our entire current apartment (which, as the week went on and as we kept finding new nooks and crannies where we had packed things, started to feel like a clown car), we also moved into our new apartment, set up all of our utilities, completely unpacked, and are in the process of cleaning both places as we fully move out of one and into another, before we leave town.

Because, yes, my in-laws are coming and we are leaving town this weekend!  We're all so super excited.  I'm going to the airport to pick them up on Friday night, and we are all heading to Bangkok and Koh Samui this weekend and next week.  Hong Kong has been so cold that this will be a sunny and hot respite.

As if all of that wasn't enough to plan, timing had it that we also submitted an offer on a property in New York City (!) mid-week, (and yes, prepared all of the paperwork and financing pre-approval that entails), spoke to real estate agents, lawyers, bankers and our family members multiple times, and reviewed a lot of paperwork and documents.  However, due to the absolute insanity of NYC real estate we were beat out by an all cash buyer (to which - I have no words).

Suffice to say, I don't think we went to bed before 1:30 am one night this week.

And oh yeah, I just happened to sign up for a performance of the Mikhailovsky Ballet performing "Sleeping Beauty" at HK Arts Festival for Thursday night.

Oh, I am also in the midst of a fast moving deal that is slated to close at the end of the month, as luck would have it.

Lots to do, lots to do…. it's no wonder this month is flying by!
