Michael took me to get dim sum at Island Tang for my birthday. I really like the setting and ambiance of the restaurant - art deco touches, and very quiet and sedate.
Unlike other Hong Kong dim sum spots, this place has an abundance of attentive wait staff who are eager and happy to do your bidding, bringing your hot dishes promptly, and swiftly and efficiently taking away your empty plates, without any urging or instruction on your part.
We ordered fried vegetarian spring rolls, soup dumpling, vegetable scallop dumplings, roasted pork belly, taro croquettes, and a huge bowl of tender baby pea shoots.
