Wrapping Up the Summer, East Hamptons Style (Week 2)

Here are some pictures of the house in Sag Harbor, which was more rustic and idyllic than our prior house.  But it was also quiet and comfortable with a big yard and an amazing saltwater pool that allowed us to sleep so well and swim so happily that it ended up being perfect.
The kids enjoyed some nice picnic repasts outdoors.
On one afternoon, also a nice barbeque lunch and a trek through the preserve, even spotting a family of wild turkeys.
Checked out the famous Wolffer vineyard winestand, with cornhole and live music.
We went kayaking, making it out to Clam Island.
We checked out deer that came to our yard.  We grilled and made smores.  The kids just hung out and goofed around. We had some impromptu dance parties.
We also had an epic trip to the Children's Museum in Bridgehampton, where the kids cooked, fished, delivered mail, played with endless toys, experimented with STEM projects, were firefighters and pirates, put on a puppet show and played mini golf.
We also got to enjoy the beach and the powerful Atlantic Ocean.
The kids hung out with yeye.
We went to the library.
Michael and I managed to squeeze in a romantic date night at the Bell and Anchor on one of the rainiest, stormiest nights of the trip.
We revisited Quail Farm.
We returned to Great Neck with one and a half days left in the US.  We made the most of the time, building a fort, riding our bikes and scooters one last time, and checking out Steppingstone Park with our cousins, then going swimming one last time at the GNE pool.
What an amazing trip we had.
