Here are some more pictures of us/Lola/us with Lola, and some scenic pictures out and about, during our trip in Niseko.
Lately, with this little one, everything goes in the mouth, all the time! In Japan she was constantly inserting her toys into her mouth, and steadily losing her temper as they refused to fit. Imagine that - a whole soccer ball won't fit into her mouth! The injustice of it all!
We took her out in the snow to see if she would like it. She wasn't that impressed...she seemed more hot and bothered by the clothes more than anything.
Here are the streets of Niseko - very clean, but lots of snow!
We went to The Cabin, a little coffee shop near our apartment, but Lola was so overheated that we had to strip her - hence the incongruous outfit!
This is a shot of Upper Hirafu Village. You can't get these blue skies in Hong Kong!
On Wednesday, we went for a little drive around the area to check out the Annupuri side of things. We got this beautiful shot of Mt. Yotei from the side of the road.
Just blanketed in snow, with nary another person in sight.
I've wanted to go to Rakuichi soba forever, but the problem is they're not open on Wednesdays or Thursdays and they also don't accept children under 12.
On one of the days, I ventured into Upper Hirafu and walked by their fire department and police station. They are so cute!
I couldn't resist when I passed this cheese pastry stand. I got two tarts and a yogurt drink. They were phenomenal.
On our way back to the airport, we passed by the beautiful Lake Shikotsu during the day. This lake is just beautiful - trees, a placid lake, and huge snow capped mountains.
In the airport lounge, Lola was full of energy and mischievous antics.
It was such a great trip - thank you Niseko! We will be back.
