Life continues apace and it often seems the best I can do to throw some pictures and slap dash commentary together on my poor little blog!
Since my last update, the kids dressed up for Mid-Autumn Festival at school and, during my trip to Singapore, went to Water World for a full day of fun.
Impromptu rugbytots class that Lola also joined on the rooftop of the SCAA, and getting back into the aerial groove.
We have been going to the town club a lot with the kids. I had an incredibly moving and fulfilling lunch with my pro bono client last weekend, which coincided with the kids going to eat dim sum and play at AIA Wheel.
We have also been spending a lot of time at the country club, with Atlantis weekends and swimming figuring pretty prominently in our weekend rotations. In a very rare moment, Michael and I had the opportunity to eat brunch at afeather and Bone in our old stomping grounds, Sai Ying Pun, without kids. It felt a little like we had been transported back in time seven years, albeit more gray, wrinkled and creaky.
Another impromptu post rugbytots playground session, at Victoria Park. It was hot!!
This past weekend the kids dressed up in their Cathay pilot gear and headed to the Asia World Expo for the book fair. It was my first time at the expo ever, and I confess the main draw (for me and the kids) was finally getting to take them on the airport express. We stopped at the airport, checked out departures and arrivals, played, saw lots of exhibits including a beautiful watercolor display, and also took many pictures among the exhibit showcasing Hong Kong delights, like silk stocking milk tea, dim sum, mahjong, and a DIY postcard station with fun phrases.
Funnily enough, the book expo itself was nothing to write home about - an exhausting, crowded mess and we didn't end up looking at one book (we got stuck in the game booth hall)...but the views of the planes landing from the hallway leading to the expo were phenomenal.
And that is a wrap for September!
