Then we drove to Michael's childhood home, which has been put on the market for sale. It was weird to see it mostly empty, though some dishware and paintings still sit on the shelves and hang on the walls. The kids got a huge kick out of the open grate between the upstairs hallways and downstairs dining room. A quiet house this was not.
The outdoors provided a lot of wholesome entertainment. The kids found the blackberry bush, spotted wild mushrooms, and picked blueberries as well as crab apples. We found the pear tree but couldn't reach its fruits.
Then we saw the neighbors and they invited us over to pick their blueberries and take a ride on their big tree swings. Their blueberries were unreal.
The boys love the kitty kat. I am not sure she feels the same. There was twister, cards against humanity family edition, shuffle board, karaoke, dance party, and watching the US Women's World Cup.
