Saturday Snapshot: Backyard Gang, Soccer, Chorus, Police Museum and Park

We had a busy skew of activities again, what else is new!

On Saturday morning bright and early Lola went on an adventure in Aberdeen Park with six other kids, to do some hiking, art work and fire building in the great outdoors.  The boys went to their soccer class as usual.

After lunch, Lola went to try a new class, a children's chorus at the Opera Hong Kong in Wan Chai.  She came back and told me she loved it.  Her activities and events are becoming a bit easier as they all become drop off and she gains independence/learns to navigate things on her own.  At 5 I feel like there is a huge jump - she has already not been a baby or a toddler for a long time, but now we are starting to see startling glimpses if her as a big kid. Whoa.

In the afternoon, we all went together to check out the newly renovated police museum.
It was super nice and we loved the interactive graphics and 3D/virtual reality games and screens interspersed with historical archives and relics. It was really well done!  And free admission!  We will be back.
The museum is located right next to Wan Chai Gap park, which the kids nickname "daddy's park" (I forget why now).  It has two playgrounds with lots of big slides and a little kiosk that sells fishballs, tea eggs and shu mai, easily making it one of our most favorite parks in Hong Kong.
