I haven't seen him in person in 2.5 years.
My family members got together in New York to help celebrate in a typical multi-platter banquet with the standard lazy-Susan table and hot mediocre Chinese tea.
As a high schooler, I probably used to go to these nearly once or twice a month, and roll my eyes over the banality of them. Now I miss the comfort of it all... the tacky lights, the food slammed on the table, the slippery plastic chopsticks, the ever-present threat of bad karaoke over tetschy speakers and a low resolution TV screen. It tastes like my childhood and the comforts of home.
