Ksar Char Bagh

Back to regaling everyone with tales of our magical vacation.  Not that we travel just to hop hotels, but this time, after only one night in Riad Carina, we were whisked off to Ksar Char Bergh, a most amazing villa / estate modeled after the Alhambra in Grenada, Spain, where my coworker's wedding was to take place.

My favorite orange tree
Sniffing the oranges

View from the "gym"
Water straight from the Atlas Mountains... supposedly
The hotel's farm - with its resident farmer and the ubiquitous Moroccan manager
More vegetables on the farm

The library / bar
Breakfast served daily
Lunch al fresco
It was a magical place.  I hadn't seen so much greenery and grass in a long, long time.  It felt like heaven!  The villa was very grand but intimate, with only rooms for 13 guests.  The other wedding guests stayed in the old city.
Our room was on the ground floor, with a private garden, tent and plunge pool.

The nook for the bed and wardrobe
Surveying the private plunge pool, loving the hooded bathrobes
bathroom with soaking tub and shower
Roses in the room upon arrival (!!)

The ah-mah-zing pool.  Very cold water though!
