We wrapped up the last of a very hectic June with a few things:
An end of year Ballroom Bees showcase dance performance for Lola:
And then, before we knew it, it was time to pack (I really cut it close this year) and head to the airport! We bid Michael farewell and enjoyed a couple of hours in the Wing, watching planes take off and eating noodles, before it was time to board.
We are so lucky to have our nanny Rachel with us this year. We flew a Cathay flight departing Saturday at 4:15 pm (it was delayed by 45 minutes) and then landed smoothly a mere 16.5 hours later...! The kids were so excited to see their yeye and popo. It was the sweetest thing. When Al got into the car, he let out a big sigh and said,"I just really missed this Tesla" which I thought was super cute.
The past couple of days have not been without its challenges as we battle jetlag and insanely tired children (and adults). But it has been awesome to be back in NY and watching my parents bond and play with the grandkids, as well as seeing the kids soak up the excitement of a summer vacation exploring a place both new and familiar.
