Here are some pictures from the wedding-related part of the trip.
On the day of the wedding itself, we gathered in an intimate ceremony
in the beautiful Villa Regina Teodolina, followed by a happy cocktail hour with possibly the most delicious
antipasti bar ever (those Italians really know what they are doing with
cheese and ham and pickled peppers, damn), really good food, and amazing
music. The views were breathtaking.
There was no photo booth, but the next series of pictures were like our very own time lapse photo strip. We started out formal and posed...
The incredibly beautiful scene at night.
I went to my friend's hen party/bridal shower the day before the wedding, at the sweeping estate of Villa D'Este in Cernobbio. We had a set lunch paired with champagne and rose wine.
The appetizer was creamy risotto with generous shavings of truffle. The entree was tender rack of lamb. I only got a picture of my dessert - a decadent molten chocolate tart paired with honey ice cream. There was no photo booth, but the next series of pictures were like our very own time lapse photo strip. We started out formal and posed...
Then started to tease...We didn't realize we were being captured on film.
This was where the dancing took place later on in the night.Mmmm so yum. Let's look at that one again, shall we?

This singer was amazing. Her voice was so strong but controlled and so versatile.
The beautiful wedding cake.
