We spent the day playing at AMC with friends, and then swimming at American Club in Tai Tam, and then a special buffet dinner at American Club in Central.
The highlight was getting to see the fireworks display in the harbor, although by the time the fireworks rolled around (9 p.m.), it was just me and Al. Lola had been eliminated due to poor behavior at the AMC earlier, and then Teo by 8:20 pm (despite his most valiant efforts) because he was tired and barely hanging on so Michael drove him home.
Al, our cheery and energetic little bunny, was more than happy to bid adieu to his brother (though interestingly he had cried when leaving Lola at home) and stayed with me enthusiastically coloring, running around, making friends and chatting away. For a portion he sat on my shoulders to try to get a better view (I don't know if I was doing it wrong, maybe because I was trying to take pictures and videos while being scared of dropping him, but it was really tiring to hold him up) and then we moved to the side of the glass terrace where he actually got a better view by virtue of him being small and could squeeze in up front.
Hearing his coos and shouts of delight as the fireworks put on a dazzling display for 25 minutes was very rewarding. It was also very sweet how much he was keen to take good videos for his brother and sister.
It was a really exhausting day and a late night because it took a while to get home due to crowds and road closures, but I'm so glad I got to experience this little pocket of bonding time with Al.
