Two weekends ago, fresh from my return from Paris and Marrakech, I went to check out Fatty Crab with some girl friends, curious to see how it compared to the New York outpost. I thought it was pretty tasty at the time, but afterward the food felt a little heavy and greasy. It was, however, probably my own fault for greedily gulping down multiple portions of the fatty duck and the fatty pork with pickled watermelon...
The decor was fun, the location very good, and the wait staff friendly and eager to please. I'd forgotten how much I missed New Yorkers! Good natured and boisterous, one of the waiters gave us a few rounds of whiskey and pickle back (yikes!) on the house.
Given the chance, I would return.
