Marrakech was a beautiful and memorable experience, particularly noteworthy for its town square, Jemaa el fan, and its amazing, impeccable weather. Lulled into the comfort of the frigid swimming pools, swaying palm trees and fragrant roses, I accomplished very little of the itinerary that I planned.
Eating fresh apricots and dates by the pool, sitting under the sun sipping hot sweet mint tea, or simply staring at trees dotted with plump, colorful oranges, I was quite content!

From the plane, Marrakech was a tidy patchwork of terra-cotta and brown. The airport was pretty small and straightforward, although immigration took a while.
The Sofitel was lovely - the most picturesque and comforting pool and gardens I've had the pleasure to enjoy in a while. The weather was perfect every day. Blue, blue sky, and not even a hint of humidity.
