Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the snake and to herald the arrival of the new year, there have been a lot of orange trees, chrysanthemums and peonies popping up all over town. Like this:
All of Hong Kong is on public holiday for Monday through Wednesday, February 11, 12 and 13, which means a five-day long weekend (!!). Yes, that is pretty awesome. As a result many people leave town because taking just two days off of work gives you an 8-day vacation. Bali, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Japan and India are all very popular destinations.
I will be heading to Thailand to visit my sister. Weather there is currently in the high 90s. Woot woot! Ubiquitous posts about massage and food coming right up.
